The HOMEGA System^TM insulation boards constitute an innovative way of insulating floors when renovating. Easy to install, the HOMEGA System^TM expanded polystyrene insulation boards can be glued to concrete floors, so as to keep them from moving during installation. The use of a vapor barrier on the concrete is not necessary. As a next step, apply plywood over top of the insulation boards, ensuring the joints of the plywood intersect the joints of the HOMEGA System^TM insulation boards. You can then simply screw the plywood into the integrated wood furring strips of the HOMEGA System^TM insulation boards. To finish the installation process, simply apply the selected floor surface finish.
